Setting up this link to my blog was going well until I could not find "Blog This." After some searching I finally found it by clicking on the photo first. I'm glad the instructions were provided. Anyway, this should be a nice way to share photos with friends and family. I have been doing this through CVS and Kodak photo sites because I like to order prints. I would not use any online site to store my photos because I don't want to take the chance that the site will go out of business. I am very happy to learn how to set up this account.
It would be good to share photos with the library's patrons. We have lots of programming activities and events like the SCO renovation that can be shared with the public to keep them iinformed. Every now and then someone will send a photo in email of furniture or supplies that are being given away. This would be a good way to use this among staff. It will also be nice to have the photos of all the Trustees or even staff t and PTHs to share. Maybe some day.

  1. Exploration 4 RSS Feeds & Feed Readers
I chose Google Reader to follow several news sites, new subjects and books from the library and added 4 coworkers' blogs. I find it useful to go to one site and follow the news rather than searching several sites. I think patrons would really benefit from being able to find out the latest materials on order or new to the library. A person still needs to be organized and remember to use the RSS feeds. The new items can stack up very fast and get out of hand. Several times already I have marked things read because I didn't get to them in a timely fashion. However, I still like having the information brought to me. Libraries can single out important information for feeds so that patrons can see it rather than having to browse through the whole library site to find information or to browse for new material added to the collection. There are certain web sites that I would like to follow for personal interest. This is a better method to keep updated.
